Experimenting with gouache these days. Still feel clumsy with it, but it is interesting to see how it is different from watercolor.

Boats on Bodega Bay

Painted this scene on Bodega Bay. My friends Lola and Kat painted with me that day and afterwards we enjoyed delicious oysters and champagne. A beautiful day!

Johnson's Beach Day

When my friend Lola visits from Madrid, we love to hang out on Johnson's Beach. We go early and rent two umbrellas, thereby creating a lovely shaded area on the edge of the river in which to paint and enjoy the beauty of the river.

At Water's Edge

Painted this while out on Tomales Bay with my friends Lola and Kat. I think it is done, but I will check over it again. I notice that this photo of the painting does not capture the sky variation in the actual painting.....not sure how to solve that issue...,

Summertime!

With school finally out, I am painting lots! Will post pics in color once paintings are finished...

Art Walk is coming up

Art Walk is June 3rd....just 4 days from now! I will have a full studio, with new works hanging, plus some paintings coming back to me from Betty Spaghetti restaurant. It will be a busy week of prepping, plus it's my last week of school and grades are due! Can't wait to have time for some serious plein air painting!!

The last couple of months of school are crazy busy, so I have mainly been painting watercolor sketches.

This is a painting of a view in Duncan's Mills (done from my memory of a day when the sky was a sort of stormy blue-gray).

I loved painting this photo of the Monte Rio bridge. The reference photo was taken by my dear friend, Steve Pedersen. It sold to another dear friend from San Francisco.

Coastal Beauty

Started two new paintings on the coast this week. It was a perfect day for plein air painting!

Added just a few more details after this photo was taken (to add more of a feeling of light). It sold right away 😊

Holiday Art Walk December 4th

Painting & Laundry

Today I worked a bit on 2 paintings I started en plein air a few months ago. I couldn't finish them then because I was with my old dog and he was extremely restless that day. I hope to finish them this week.
